Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own.
But one thing I do;
Forgetting what lies behind,
thus, straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the Prize of the upward call of God in Messiah!
Phil.3:13-14

Running…, Life’s Humbling Elixir
The discipline of running,
how it contains seemingly three indomitable forces.
For there is Distance,
next, Time is said to be on our side.
Last, there is Self.
In each single effort, each day for one’s lifetime,
there is constant voices ringing in one’s head.
One voice inquires,
Are you able to go the distance?
Another sound quizzed you by presenting the query;
is there enough time for you toward your goal?
Lastly, one is asked to articulate to the greatest utterance,
are you adequate, competent and sufficient?

This race of Life has many obstacles along the way.
Each hardship maybe hinder the pathway of the weak,
while manifesting into a stepping-stone for the travels of the strong,
and those with perseverance.
***
I saw something else under the sun.
The race isn’t [won] by fast runners,
or the battle by heroes.
Wise people don’t necessarily have food.
Intelligent people don’t necessarily have riches,
and skilled people don’t necessarily receive special treatment.
But time and unpredictable events overtake all of them. Ecclesiastes 9:11
