The Active Involvement of God
We are born on earth to reconnect to our eternal Connection. For many, this statement has very little significance in their quest for purpose and importance in this mortal life , yet for many, perhaps there is much more to our living, than what we can see and or manipulate. This notion of re-connection to that which is eternal is such an appealing spiritual quest for many thus they are forever transformed as they now have a realistic quest for being alive.
Becoming rejoined to the eternal aspects of this life is made possible only once that which causes our separation in the first place, has been forever dealt with by nonhuman means. Moral failure, sin, iniquity and the like are classical terms which depicts and or define our everyday human imperfections once something morally pure and perfect is revealed to our earthly experience. It is at this learning curve, that one then has something much greater to seek than those shallow things that they possess and or forever seek.
Literally volumes have been penned by experts in the area of Hamartiology (from Greek: ἁμαρτία, hamartia, “missing the mark, error” and -λογια, -logia, “study“), a branch of Christian theology, which studies sin. In a word, sin is not only a violation of a moral divine law, it is as if sin, were much a loss to God as to the active sinner. Not to become discouraged! For all of us have, and will always fail to measure up to the perfection, daily missing the mark of that which is heavenly, and humanly possible.
Our loving Creator has a never ending role within all of His creation, for He is not a spectator in this grand cosmic experiment called life. He is forever more constantly involved in every aspect of this mortal life, perhaps more of the activities here on earth than any other place in His creation. Just how important is this statement? Plant earth, more specifically our hearts is where the Creator and His creatures [humanity] meet mysteriously in this seemingly on-going human experience.
God will continue to remain actively involved in the life of all mankind until the very end of this imperfect age/generation! This lasting reality binds Him to all within the human dynamic on earth and the invisible creations in the heavens. Such involvement by God is a reality whether human-beings believe in Him or not. For He is not bound to any other order but His own, which is superior than all that we all are subjected to.
How to Reconnect with our Creator
Get Quiet Before Him
Life is so loud and unless we are intentional about spending time with God, we will be disorderly and chaotic. According to neurosurgeon and Christian Dr. Carolyn Leaf, our brains are actually wired to be in constant communication with God. When we’re distracted or overwhelmed our lives lose the most powerful weapon we have against the enemy…intimacy.
Clean House
All things are permissible but not all things edify. Examine the areas of your life that are not pushing you to live “UP” to who you are in Christ. We all struggle with things, but it’s important to not be complacent. Instead take hold of the overcomer’s mindset.
Change Your Vantage Point
In every situation you encounter look for God first. We need to learn to see life through the lens of God’s Sovereignty instead of the vantage point of our troubles. When we learn to look from Heaven’s perspective we reconnect with Our True Spiritual origin.
Worship & Prayer
Posture your heart before God in worship and prayer. Allow Him to flood your heart and situation with the truth of Who He is. Reconnecting to God means also reconnecting to joy, righteousness and peace. Responding to God through worship and prayers helps to rekindle deep intimate relationship.
Rejoice in Thanksgiving
The Bible says, “Rejoice in The Lord and again I say Rejoice!” Practice giving thanks to The Father in all you do. Understand that in every situation, good or bad, there’s always a gift that God is trying to get to you. It might be growing deeper in faith, it might be material gain or something you’ve been praying about. Practicing thanksgiving helps us to convert negatives into positives and keeps us ever alive to all the “possibilities” in God. In closing, let me encourage each of you to seek the Lord daily, while there is Light in the earth.
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)
“If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy . . . ” (Job 8:5)
Seeking involves calling and pleading. “O Lord, open my eyes. O Lord, pull back the curtain of my own blindness. Lord, have mercy and reveal yourself. I long to see your face now and forever more, in Your mighty Name do I pray, Amen!
Much Grace and Peace
