If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to You.
Psalms 139:9-12

For it is out of darkness and chaos that the heavens and earth were created from. Without the entrance of light into the created order, life’s hidden realities and possibilities would never become known nor experienced.
Darkness and Light both coexist to measure our footsteps throughout our limited time on earth. For the moon and the sun are heavenly stars that produces times and seasons, yet what is hidden before our eyes, is that there is far greater life than the night and the dawn!
While we are only pilgrims on the earth for only a very short time, many of us are not maximizing our time well enough to reach the very best that our human experience can offer us as living souls. Millions fail to see the Light in their lives because they are prisoners of their own darkness. They are living only in the past, thus they are living as a shadow. For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow. Job 8:9.
Emotional, psychological, financial and spiritual distress that remains unresolved in our lives, will and for the greater part, have enslaved us into what seems like a bottomless pit of despair; pain, fear, loneliness. The worst outcome to this cycle of personal crisis is suicide.

If our Creator was able to create out of nothing, the heavens and earth , would you not think that He could not transform you out of your darkness and chaos? It is only when we reach our darkest moment, that now we can see the stars and The Light. One writer stated that:
“It is in the encircling gloom that we come to realize the importance of being led by the kindly Light of the Eternal One.”

For many past, present and future generations, Christ has been the greatest gift to them on this long lonely road called Life. Jesus Christ is for them, the Light of the World who has entered into our very painful and distorted human experience. It is He who has removed all of the darkness and uncertainties from their lives while educating them in just how to live this life that He overcame.
It is during this traditional holiday season, that all of creation, all of humanity can behold heaven’s Greatest gift, Immanuel [God with Us.] What about you?
