The Will of Everyday People
There are many things in our society
Some even within the world;
that the collective hearts, minds, and wills of Everyday People,
should never be adjusted!
For there are very ancient words that boldly proclaim,
that the reason people starve,
is because their Rulers tax them excessively.
Every day people are difficult to govern
because their ruler has their own ends in mind…,
The heart of the ultra-wealthy
compromise their eternal soul fate for power, wealth and fame in the now.
It is only by not living for your own ends,
that a healthy soul can go beyond valuing this life, even now,
and forevermore!
Behind the Scenes
There is a very small yet powerful group of individual oligarchs and plutocrats who literally live apart from the world systems that they design and manipulate the lives of the multitudes. Their amassed wealth is in direct proportion to “everyday people” being nothing more than a lifetime host for them to feast off.
The systemic evil network that serves their bidding, by design is very successful in psychologically teaching the masses how to “tolerate” and become “well-adjusted” to evil, injustice, ignorance, and inhumanity.
Essentially every area of our lives is multi-generationally, lorded over by these individuals and their empires, intrinsically and extrinsically.
The term “maladjustment” is a condition that those in the psychological circles refer to as having the “inability to react successfully and satisfactorily to the demand of one’s environment.”
The current dysfunctional status of the American experiment called Democracy is failing the masses on every institutional level like never before, thus just from a psychological level, more and more people are suffering from an assortment of very difficult conditions and “anxiety disorders!”
For the follower of Messiah, just how are we to Live?
Be Zealous for the Fear of the Lord
The very basis of this blog post is that of encouragement and a reminder for the Beloved Community of faithful, in these most difficult and perilous times.
Have we not been instructed to steadfastly seek after the only “True Light” of the world, so that the entirety of one’s soul-life on earth is full by the mighty hands of God and not that of systems that are controlled by men?
Those who seek after and are deceived by the Lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the Pride of Life shall be full of the darkness of this fallen and already judge world system. [1 John 2:16; John 12:31]
Our healthiest soul-care condition in this current life is our willful position to serve only God and not mammon. We are not to show ourselves warm or angry in an ungodly manner, nor fret [to worry, to show or outwardly express irritation and or annoyance] at those who in fact, are controlling this world systems for a season.
Psalms 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him, do not fret when people succeed in their ways.
When the rulers of this age carry out their wicked schemes, we who are in Christ, are not to “be like them in their thoughts, actions, and deeds!
Psalms 37:8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret- it leads only to evil.
Also, be reminded and encouraged that faithful disciples of The Master are commanded to never become envious against the workers of iniquity [those souls who are quilty of perversity and depravity].
Proverbs 3:31 Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways.
Proverbs 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.
Why?
It is at this current age whereas those who are in power, God permits so, that those who do evil as the means of obtaining great wealth, power and success compares them and their works as “like the early morning, it looks green, pretty and flowing, and yet, as the evening comes, all of these toils is cut down, only to fade away.“
Those who are the wicked ones among us and are very prosperous will perish with all their worldly honor, riches and power. The brevity of their lives is very short-lived and those in Christ are not to emulate nor be envied and fretted in their evil ways.
Trust in the Lord
“There is none Greater, now or later; this I Know,
Lord of Mercy, Guide my Pathway, make me whole.
Just a closer walk with Thee, For Your Love has made a difference in me.
There is no place that I would rather be, but beneath Your Loving winds of Serenity“.
[quoted from lyrics of “Just a closer Walk/Just to be Close reprise: Fred Hammond feat. Ruben Studdard]
Learning how to navigate in all of the Darkness that Surrounds Us
The faithful are to trust only in the Lord in whom there is everlasting strength, blessing assurance, wealth and honor. We who are in Christ and His Kingdom, are guaranteed His righteousness and His riches in this “present age” both the temporal and spiritual. This is how we are to live and to have wholeness of our “often-times” divided souls in this very age.
Trusting in God and His Kingdom during these times is, in essence, is very much our spiritual response to the maladjustment conditions of our very sick and evil age. Within God’s design only will we have true peace, love, and normalcy.
The Kingdom of God is a very present reality for each of us to claim as well as proclaim.
Be also reminded and encouraged that faithful disciples of The Master are commanded to shun the evil practices of the unrighteous. In doing so, those who seek after the True Light of the world, will be spiritually endowed to “Do Good in all ways, in that those who are in Christ are empowered by the Holy Spirit to demonstrate amiss the darkness; good works that are done faithfully, that revels the Heavenly Father.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven.
We are to “delight” ourselves in the Lord! To delight oneself in the Lord means to willfully “bend” and or to “incline in taking great pleasure” of each soul in our service and worship toward our God, His perfect will for us His Children.
In spite of this very obvious and difficult dual reality in which the faithful ones of God live, [we are in the world, yet not of the world], we are to long and pant after God’s very real and present Kingdom over that of this present evil age.
While remaining faithful to God and His Kingdom, it is God’s responsibility and promise in fulfilling the desires of our hearts. All of which is manifested accordingly to His will as it is ordained by His promises, and His eternal covenants toward all of His people and Nations.
All of our works, affairs, and efforts in this life are to be sought before our Lord for His blessings, direction, and confirmation prior to us performing them. God delights in His children seeking after Him and finding refuse in His presence.
Psalms 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
We who are faithful, are encouraged like never before, to “trust also in Him” with the spiritual healing implication that by doing as so, there is ease to one’s mental health as a faithful one submits every aspect of their soul-care and concerns to the Lord.
Do we not serve a Lord who cares for and sympathizes with our very human needs and struggles, while He supports us as His very own, always within His design, His appointed times, seasons and generations? [Hebrews 4:15]
I leave you with these most important Words from The Master:
Matthew 6:25-33
25 `Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, and what ye may drink, nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the nourishment, and the body than the clothing?
26 look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father doth nourish them; are not ye much better than they?
27 `And who of you, being anxious, is able to add to his age one cubit?
28 and about clothing why are ye anxious? consider well the lilies of the field; how do they grow? they do not labour, nor do they spin;
29 and I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these.
30 `And if the herb of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast to the furnace, God doth so clothe — not much more you, O ye of little faith?
31, therefore, ye may not be anxious, saying, What may we eat? or, What may we drink? or, What may we put round?
32 for all these do the nations seek for, for your heavenly Father doth know that ye have need of all these;
33 but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.
In closing
This blog post was inspired by my personal reading and study of Psalms 37:4-5. I was led to this Scripture by the Holy Spirit after a personal friend asked me to pray for her son who was attempting to enter into medical school.
The poem The Will of Everyday People was composed by A.E. Thornton, as I gleaned from the writings of Tao Te Ching, chapter 75, The reason people starve, and other supportive Biblical references that supported the conversation of our need to abide in Christ no matter what.
The artwork [drawing of the distraught women] was an illustration by A.E.Thornton.
I do pray that this post will encourage you while challenging you to lean not your own understandings, but in all ways seek after and walk after, and remind forever yoked to the Lord of our soul-care, Jesus the Messiah.
