The Pathway of Wisdom starts With the Heart!

Our Heavenly Father never modifies the garment of righteousness to fit humanity, it is incumbent upon each heart to fit into God’s divine design!

Earlier in the week, while seeking after the Lord for additional wisdom and directions as I was unexpectedly assigned by Him, to embark into some major challenges later that somewhat unsettled my inner peace.

I was overtaken by fear, uncertainty and a heightened sense of dread for a friend who was facing a life-threating physical condition. The very first passage of Scripture that captivated me was Proverbs 4: 23:

Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life.

Codes of Wisdom

As I was about to examine the essence of this passage of Scripture, my Lord revealed to me that there are three major types of commandments in the Holy Scriptures. He prompted me that I would be wise to consider each of them each time that I am to face challenging life situations.

The first are codes of wisdom that will empower an individual to demonstrate before the world, “objective” if not tangible and practical abilities and knowledge that will enhance and be very useful throughout one’s navigation in life.

One can say that these codes of wisdom are skills, abilities, and insights that are to enable us for example, to govern in administrative capacities, or an individual has been endowed with a keen sense of shrewdness in business affairs.

The next commandment is that of the human will, spirit or the ideology, philosophy and earthly systems that human-beings establish, govern and enforce in an effort at creating social institutions, laws, and culture and community.

The last type of commandment pertains to spirituality, morality, and the ethical observance, practice and one’s inner life of the soul individually or corporately.

As I thought about these three [perhaps there are more] commandments, I meditated on the notion that the very best desire that a life-long learner can hope for in this life, is the constant pursuit, acquisition, and practice of spiritual wisdom from God throughout one’s journey.

Such a pursuit, literally assures that my living is never in vain as God has a vested commitment to preserve, protect, love and deliver my entire life, now and forevermore!

In all of my seeking, I was reminded by God that the best investment that I can make in this life is in His Wisdom! That is where my eyes are to remain affixed, the way of Wisdom is the designed path to follow each day that He blesses.

The seedbed for this activity is deep within the heart of the individual!

The Way of Wisdom

Have you ever wondered what are the marks of distinction of a committed seeker of the Way of Wisdom?

First, their steps are always unbroken, very accurate and unmodified.

Next, even when they encounter challenges in their journey, their mission and or ministry unto the Lord will never be impeded.

When they enjoy the fruits of success throughout their way, because of the spirit of humility, they will not stumble due to vanity or pride.

Because of their dependence upon the guidance of God’s Spirit and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, they will be very successful in avoiding the pathway of evil and wicked, who’s heart is always bent toward dishonor and evil.

Some Additional Pearls of Wisdom that was given to me.

God, through His loving devotion toward me during our quiet-time, communicated that as My Children of Light are blessed and are manifesting Godly success throughout their lives, evil will be drawn toward their lives. Somehow Godly success is motivation, if not fuel for those who are evil, to make the Righteous fall.

Evil souls can only find sleep when they cause God’s faithful to fall in their quest as the redeemed of God!

The appetite of the evil consists of “The Bread of Wickedness” which is washed down by the bitter “Wine of Violence!”

In the Hands of God, those of us who are summoned by the Holy Spirit to travel the Path of Righteousness is the very first gleam of dawn, each day, shining brighter and brighter until the Sun has beached it’s highest ascent of each new day.

This matter of Righteousness is one of the chief attributes of our Heavenly Father, as it depicts His concern for our moral and ethical conduct as His people in His created world.

Our abiding in The Messiah grants the Beloved Community of God to become inwardly transformed within our hearts, the miracle to act in accord with God’s Holy and divine moral laws and or commandments.

Such a “Way of Life” grants the faithful follower freedom from guilt, condemnation, and trespasses and fear. Such a “Way of Life” enables the Believer to become the very best servant to those who are in need! Amen.

Keep a Guard on Your Heart.

Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life.

We who are God’s people are encouraged to guard, watch, and keep our hearts. We are to nurture and reform our inner life, our wills, minds, which defines the very true essence of our existence as living souls in the earth.

One may even say it in this manner, we are to watch over our inner life just like a prison guard is assigned to watch over a prisoner who is confined in jail.

We are expected to be wise while also being correct in watching over and caring over our material possessions, our health, our family and all of life’s important meaningful and legitimate interest, yet before and above everything else, God has commanded that we are to firstly, Keep a Guard on Your Heart.

The Spirit of God’s moral commands is the reformational foundation that stabilizes and then governs the motive and intention of one’s heart. It is from the heart that all human affections [good and bad] originate, as well as the moral consciousness that will regulate the entire soul of the individual. From the heart is the spring that flows all issues of life.

Thanks, My Lord

Whatever we are to face in our personal and corporate lives, the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures constantly ministers within each of us as we are made mature in the things of the Kingdom of God.

Hebrews 4:12 contends that The Word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword, as it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints, and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of one’s heart.

Blessed is He who guides and protects each of us, moment by moment as our hearts and our entire living-soul is reformed inwardly, only in His due season, are we able to outwardly express His spiritual attributes as light in an ever-growing dark world.

Grace and Peace
