Preface
This blog is my personal reflective analysis of Revelation 7:10-11. Somehow during my spiritual time and study of this section of scripture, it came alive to my senses like never before. The more that I read and spiritually envisioned this most wonderful and profound heavenly praise of God and before the Lamb, I knew that I wanted to share this post with others.
I do personally pray that you will be delighted and encouraged by this blog post. Grace and Peace
and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Victory [salvation] to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne, the elders and the four living beings; they fell facedown before the throne and worshipped God, saying, Amen!”
“Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever!” Amen! Revelation 7:10-11
All aspects of salvation are forevermore attributed to God who sits on the throne. This matter of supernatural spiritual salvation is a complex reality with the interrelatedness of spiritual and physical, individual and communal, objective and subjective, eternal and historical dimensions.
My Lord God, please opening up our understanding of Your complete plan of salvation for those whom You have called as heirs to Your Kingdom! Amen.
Salvation in its basic meaning communicates about God’s eternal plan of, yasa [[;v”y] (to save, help in distress, rescue, deliver, set free) all His creation from the destructive and eternal impact and consequence of sin.
In this selected passage of Scripture Revelation 7: 9-12, the eternal scene of a heavenly host, standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and holding palm branches in their hands, shouting out of the very mouths of an uncountable multitude of benefactors of God’s mighty hand of the deliverance of the tribulation upon the earth, John lists a seven-fold heavenly praise of worship to God Almighty!
We would be wise if not well served to follow this multitudes example who is in the heavens, by each moment of our lives, applying our own loud voices of praise, and worship to God while humbly serving the Father daily while we are still on earth.
Seven-fold heavenly Praise of Worship to God Almighty!
Blessed
First, we are to acknowledge that our Heavenly Father is blessed in and executively in and of Himself, while being the very source of all blessedness to all of His creations, including angels and humanity and the earth.
Being blessed defines the condition or state of being in God’s grace or favor. The idea of a spiritual state of beatitude in which believers enjoy God’s fellowship permeates the Bible.
The word blessed suggest divine protection, evoking believers’ trust in their benefactor. They know God as the origin of every good thing in both this life and the next.
The English word “blessedness” is derived from the root word for “blood” and suggests something set aside through sacrifice and in the Bible through Christ’s sacrificial death for sins. Every aspect of the Christian life is embraced by blessedness with no credit assumed by the person experiencing it. It is purely God’s grace.
Glory
We are then encouraged to praise Him alone for having all Glory! In everything that He is and in everything that he does, God is greater than human description. Every attribute and action of God is beyond measure and beautiful in every way. His characteristic and every accomplishment from his hand are totally perfect.
The stunning reality of this universe is that there exists One who is the greatest, the most beautiful and the most perfect in every way. God is gloriously great, gloriously beautiful and gloriously perfect. There is none like him; he has no rivals, and no valid comparisons can be made to him. He is the great Other, in a category of his own beyond our ability to estimate, understand or describe.
Every part of God is glorious in every way possible; there’s nothing more to be communicated in humans terms. And because God is glorious in every possible way, He alone stands in this vast universe as the only One who is worthy of the worship, surrender, and love of every human heart.
Wisdom
In His presence, who among us is wise but Him alone. All wisdom is His alone. All that God deemed essential knowledge for His children is found in His Word—the Bible. Beyond that, all truth is God’s. God has, however, revealed His truth to all humans in the things created (Romans 1:20) called general revelation, and in His written Word called special revelation (1 Corinthians 2:6–10).
There is a difference between “earthly wisdom” and the “wisdom that comes from above” (James 3:14–18). To tap into God’s wisdom, we must, first of all, desire it and ask God for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). The next verse specifies that we must “ask in faith, nothing wavering” (verse 6).
God’s wisdom is His and His only! It is above all other gods, powers, and principalities. His wisdom is to be seen in all of the works of His Hands in all creation, now and for the coming Kingdom to come.
Thanksgiving
Each of His Children would be wise to constantly thank God for everything that comes within our redeemed lives. Human expression of gratitude toward our heavenly Father is due to Him because of all of His mercies, favors, temporal, spiritual and the eternal life to come for all His creations, which includes His angels, every tribe, tongue, people and nations. Who but the eternal God is our Loving Father and Master over the completion and maturity of the entirety of our souls?
Power
Children of God are instructed to yield our wills to He who seats on the heavenly throne out of reverence. Only God the Father is the source of the creative force that was and is exerted in making all things out of nothing, while forever supporting the entire universe, without rival, in its existence while saving and preserving His adopted people as His own.
Might
Who but Adonai Elohim is the One and True God for all eternity? He alone is Almighty and self-sufficient who possesses all eternal strength which is only His and is everlasting.
Prayer
Matthew 6:9-13 The Complete Jewish Bible
Our Father in Heaven!
May Your Name be kept holy.
May Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us the food we need today.
Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us.
And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.
For kingship, power and glory are Yours forever. Amen
The Greatest yet very Practical Takeaway from this Study!
Every human being that God reveals Himself to becomes spiritually remade and reconstituted by God to worship Him vertically and horizontally upon His earth in these very real and true ways!
- We worship God with our minds by being life-long learners about His wisdom, purpose, and plan for us in this very real and present age until the advent of His future coming Kingdom for all eternity.
- We worship God with all of our heart [mind, emotions, and will]. It is perhaps at least for myself, that the Book of Psalms is the place to consult for every human-related emotion and or expression that we will have to experience and have mastery of while we all yet live in and on this last evil generation. All of the joys, pains, sorrows, and multiplicity of our human difficulties are very much, found in this Book.
- Beloved of God, we also worship God with our very human bodies. This one-time gift and blessing are to become a living sacrifice unto God as holy and acceptable to Him, not by our own strength, but our day by day yielding of our wills to our Heavenly Father as your spiritual worship. We are commanded not to be conformed to this present evil age, [which is passing and will eventually be destroyed]. For the Children of God are to be transformed by the renewing of one’s mind, that by overcoming all life’s testings, each of us may discern what the will of God is, also what is good, and what is acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2
- In closing, we are now to live a spiritually redeemed lifestyle are to worship God in demonstrating God’s design of what accounts as loving, giving, honest, and stable human relationships with our family, our associates, friends, and our neighbors, not to forget those whos are our assigned enemies.
