I Will Rejoice in Doing Them Good!

The Reality and Spiritual Truth about the Wrath of God

God’s wrath is said to be in perfect accord with His justice. The apostle Paul records in Romans 2:5, “But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed”

Today’s blog post is primarily focused on the Beloved Community that is sadly currently entrenched deeply into the secular, political, cultural, economic evils that represent the fallen kingdom of Satan.

This very real seduction and uncivil alignment with the secular culture is not what God has called and commissioned His People to be preoccupied with.

The constant refrain from the Lord our God and Savior is: come out from among her!

“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.

17 Therefore

Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.
” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

J.I. Packer contends that “God’s wrath in the Bible is never the capricious, self-indulgent, irritable, morally ignoble thing that human anger so often is. It is, instead, a right and necessary reaction to objective moral evil” [Knowing God, 151]

I Will Rejoice In Doing Them Good

God’s anger is not a tempest in a void full of mystery and dread. The world is dark, and human agony is excruciating. But the prophet casts a light by which the heart is led into the thinking of the Lord’s mind.

Our Heavenly Father does not delight in unleashing anger. In what then, does God delight? “I am the Lord who practices kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord” Jer. 9:24.

I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul” Jeremiah 32:41. It is the only blessing that the Lord gives with all His heart and all His soul. For just as God delights in kindness done by man, He rejoices in doing kindness Himself.

Being kind and compassionate in all of His ways, the God of all Israel, Jewish and non-Jewish nations throughout the earth, chooses to bind His people in His eternal covenant, yet with a reciprocal inter-relation with Himself of rights and obligations. This is why what the portion of the Body of Christ in our American culture must “come from out of her [the evil systems that are anti-godly], and repent and return to God.

Based upon the action of the wills of followers thus their unhealthy and divided alliances with other gods, it is not God that disturbs the blessings of the covenant agreement, it is the deeds of His disobedient children. Even then, God pleads with the disobedient ones, in an effort to restore them to their loyalty.

The patience, grace, and mercy that God extends to His children who are defaulters or breach disturbers, often are self-inflicting, cut-off as opposed to punished by God, until they come to their senses and recommit the terms of the covenant agreement.

Although God delights in kindness, there are moments when He is led to evokes sadly, anger toward humans whom He had given dominion over the sea and land. He has chosen and redeemed all those in Christ from all sorts of evil, agony, sin, and the like.

He gave His Holy Scriptures, His Son, His Holy Spirit, and prophets, yet, many redeemed of God, has willfully chosen the “things of the world” while renouncing the high calling of being a faithful witness and light and salt to this world system that has already been judged. John 16:11 He will convince the world that God judges it because the ruler of this world has been judged.

The Judge of the world has cried His protest throughout human history. People today just as it was during the time of Jeremiah willfully remain deaf to heed the divine warnings of a patient God.

Behold, the storm of the Lord!

Wrath has gone forth, a whirling tempest;

It will burst upon the head of the wicked.

The anger of the Lord will not turn back

until He has executed and accomplished the intents of His mind.

In the end of days you will understand it clearly.

Jeremiah 23:19-20; cf. 30:23-24

Measure for Measure

In Revelation 18:4-5 records this warning for the Body of Christ in America, “Then I heard another voice out of heaven say: “My people, come out of her! so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not be infected by her plagues, for her sins are a sticky mass piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.

America’s shameful systemic racism that is empowered by the big Lie of the religion of “White Supremacy” must be destroyed and renounced by the collective hearts of every Child of God.

The oppressors of the earth will one day pay for their greed, selfishness, pride and indifference. They will themselves receive retribution by Him who redeems the slave, the prisoner, and the oppressed in the day of the jubilee to come.

Measure for Measure,” throughout the Holy Scripture is the main standard of judgment and retribution. This principle teaches that at the end of days, we are treated the same way we have treated others and are judged using the same unit of measure we have used to judge others.

The Son of Man extensively taught about the measure for measure [midah k’ neged mida] He said, “Don’t judge so that you won’t be judged. For the way you judge others is how you will be judged- the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure to you.” Matthew 7:1-2
