Introduction
After 244 years of modern history, our demise as an American Empire is at the flash-point of being destroyed not by a foreign enemy from abroad, but by a well-thought-out plan of the governmental act of Sedition.
By sedition, the party of control at this writing is misusing/abusing “Free Speech” with misinformation, lies, and abuse of power, all of which have promoted conduct inciting people to rebel against the authority of states, citizens, and the Nation.
This act of sedition has many layers and will have long-lasting effects, but at present, the greatest threat is the destruction of the basic definition of Democracy: the form of government in which political control is exercised by all the people either directly or through their elected representatives.
Second, the total lack of regard from some leaders for the General Election process and numerous failed legal attempts toward the disenfranchised a large percentage of votes has run its course. The current ruling body’s attempt at a political coup can only come about by “self-appointing” their choice of a leader instead of the people’s choice. This is where we are in our Nation.
All of which are happening during a worldwide pandemic, financial crisis, unemployment, homelessness, hunger, depression, increased suicide, substance abuse, and hopelessness. Perhaps all of these major issues are possible because the most severe problem in America is has a condition called, Spiritual blackout.
How can we be a so-called “Christian Nation” and permit all these and other national atrocities to continue to destroy millions of millions of our citizens? Who is responsible for what is happening?
Some basic signs of Moral & Spiritual Apathy of a Nation
*Citizens who are desensitized. *Boredom. *Total acceptance of mediocrity.
*Disconnection from Reality. *Passivity *Lack of Apathy and Humanity
*For people of Faith, all unhealthy alliances to people, institutions, and or practices that challenge the Lordship of Christ over your life, now is the appointed time to come out from them, do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
Be separate says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14, 17-18.
This point is of grave importance by the 2020 exit polls of the percentage of Evangelical Christians who voted for Trump. The strong support for Trump this year and the first will also leave a lasting negative effect upon the unbelieving individuals in America and the world.
Now is not the time in this blog to make an effective Biblically based and spiritual argument about the need for the Church to exit from the corruption within the political spectrum altogether, but soon this must become a primary discussion in every believer’s home and place of Worship.
Nevertheless, there also is a growing need for our country to begin to honestly address many major issues surrounding the actual formation; identity, and operation of America as a country and as an Empire with its alliance with the Old World, namely Rome and the history of Western Christianity as a tool or servant by the Oligarchy and Monarchy.
Before you stop reading the rest of this post, please consider educating yourself on one of the motivations of this blog: The Doctrine of Discovery. https://doctrineofdiscovery.org/what-is-the-doctrine-of-discovery/
I am still unpacking this knowledge but at present, much of what I sense is behind the political issues in our government is due to how our nation came into existence.
The purpose of this Theo-political blog post is to highlight without any doubt, the most important governmental act of sedition in human history and its powerful redeeming and transformational benefits for those who need a faithful Savior and leader.
Also, while reading this blog, consider keeping in mind that there are similarities of our current situation, and the very same events in Jesus trial. Look for behind the scenes plotting and scheming of the politico-religious-economic unhealthy alliances based on Power, Position, Money grab of the few at the demise, and lack of concern for the general population.
Rome is Burning
In 18 CE, the Roman governor Valerius Gratus appointed Caiaphas as high priest in Jerusalem. The two men must have had an excellent working relationship because Caiaphas remained in office exceptionally long. Gratus’s successor Pontius Pilate retained the high priest in office.
As a high priest, Caiaphas was chairman of the high court (Sanhedrin). After the Temple guard had arrested Jesus of Nazareth, Caiaphas organized a hearing and accused Him of blasphemy. Because Jesus could not (or refused to) refute the accusation, the high priest handed Him over to the Roman authorities, who found him guilty of treason (i.e., claiming to be king of the Jews). [source: Caiaphas-Livius]
The claim that He was King of the Jews essentially signed Jesus’ death certificate two ways, He was guilty of sedition and treason.
Note: While seditious conspiracy is generally defined as conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state, treason is the more serious offense of actively levying war against the Roman government.
What were Caiaphas’ motives?
Jesus threatened Caiaphas’s authority; his relationship with Rome, and his Temple’s income. Power, Position, Money. Are these alleged threats a justified reason to murder a Man of Peace?
The answer in the heart and mind of anyone who is intoxicated with power, position, and money is yes! Caiaphas as do many, abused their appointed positions to break the law.
In Caiaphas’s case against his fear of the Master was he staged a mock court case to incriminate Jesus. Here are the multiple infarctions.
Caiaphas took on the usually incompatible roles of chief judge and prosecuting lawyer.
Scholars know the rules that applied to Jewish trials at that period and the trial of Jesus broke many of those rules:
- It was at night – Jewish trials had to take place during the day
- It took place on a feast day – this was not allowed
- It took place in Caiaphas’s house – it should have been conducted in the council chamber
The trial went wrong for Caiaphas. He needed to prove that Jesus had threatened to destroy the Temple, which would have been both treason and an offense against God. But the witnesses couldn’t agree on what Jesus had said. So that charge failed.
Caiaphas decided to see if he could induce Jesus to utter blasphemy.
“Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying, Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I am, and you shall see The Son of Man…., and tearing his clothes, the high priest said, “What further need do we have of witnesses?” You have heard the blasphemy…, and they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. Mark 14:61-64.
At the “appointed time” of His crucifixion on the Passover day, the 14th day of the first month of the Calculated Hebrew Calendar (CHC) in 30AD. Rome did not kill Jesus, the Jewish government-appointed religious leaders did not kill Jesus, nor did the fickle emotional multitude of people whom Jesus minister who cried out “crucify Him, are responsible for Jesus’ death.
Jesus willing gave His own life.
Jesus began His ministry with a baptism, He also ended His ministry with a baptism-but, not with water. The Master told His disciples, “For I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how burdened I am until it be accomplished! Luke 12:50; Matt. 20:22-23, Mark 10:38-39.
A Bloody Baptism of Death
What was that baptism? The Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priest and scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death; and they shall deliver Him up to the Gentiles to mock Him, to scourge Him, and to crucify Him; but He shall rise again the third day. Matt. 20:18-19.
Through the beating, scourging, and the final crucifixion, the Master has baptized in His own blood-thus truly a baptism of His shed blood unto death. It was His final and most important work as God’s eternal plan hinged on its completion.
The writer of Hebrews gives the reason for the Master’s death as the only worthy sacrifice for the liberation from sin and death of all human souls. The actual quote is found in Psalms 40:6-8. From this passage, we will discover some of the most important lessons that all faithful followers practice as well as are distinctive marks of disciples of the Master.
This is why, on coming into the world, he says, “It has not been your will to have an animal sacrifice and a meal-offering; rather, you have prepared for me a body. No, you have not been pleased with burnt offerings and sin offerings. Then I said, ‘Look! In the scroll of the book, it is written about me. I have come to do your will.'” Hebrews 10:5-7
Practical interpretation and application.
Jesus son of Joseph came into this world voluntarily, self-offering His life as the long-awaited pre-determined Messiah from the divine counsel of God and His Kingdom. His body that was prepared was that of a slave of total obedience to the Word of God and the plan of God. Jesus knows the Word of God, lived the Word of God, is the Living Word of God even unto death in a godless world.
His example is to become our way in which we are to live in this world. We are in the world yet not of the world. Followers in Jesus Christ are simply in the world—physically present—but not of it, not part of its values (John 17:14-15). As believers, we should be set apart from the world.
This is the meaning of being holy and living a holy, righteous life—to be set apart. We are not to engage in the sinful activities the world promotes, nor are we to retain the insipid, corrupt mind that the world creates. Rather, we are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). This is a daily activity and commitment. [Gleaned from Got Questions.org]
By transforming ourselves, some of the universal indicators of disciples of the Master are:
- Spiritual regeneration
- Spiritual faith
- Daily practical spiritual disciplines: Life-long learning and study of the Holy Scriptures. Prayer life, fasting, service to others as a witness and light to the world.
- Visible demonstration of one’s faith and practice in the world and one’s household.
- Willful obedience to the Word and will of God.
- Unconditional love.
- Suffering
- Adopting a Kingdom mindset while being a citizen of the unregenerated culture or world that we live in.
