Heavenly Reminders of Constant Renewal

If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to Thee, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to Thee. Psalms 139:11-12

Between the sun and moon, on this finite side of God’s created order, it is the moon that better depicts our human experience on earth.

Unlike the magnificent consistent brilliance of light that the sun provides us, the moon waxes and wanes while nearly disappearing each month only to grow luminously again.

Each living soul’s fate on this often-times lonely pilgrim journey will go through the heavenly decreed cycles of prosperity and suffering, while always having hope that even in our darkest moments, there are brighter days ahead. Amen
