Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in your body as you are strong in spirit. 3 John 1:2
Preface
What is one soul worth to God?
Every person is an invaluable soul with an eternal destiny whether they know or understand this spiritual truth or not. The soul longs for God because innately each soul is constituted to relate to God by worshiping and serving God and His people in this life and the eternal life to come.
In the above Scripture, John shares with his dear friend, Gaius this wonderful sentiment, “I love you in the truth!” The basis of this affection toward his friend is Gaius has encountered God who had blessed him with the truth that was not from this world but God.
John would pray that his friend would have a successful journey while here on earth, by walking the right path in every way. He continued to wish for Gaius to be sound, pure, and uncorrupted physically just as he is within his human soul.
Perhaps the essential takeaway from this reference for us is, as a living soul on the earth, God’s very best offering is that we learn spiritually, just how to “Walk in Truth” is of extreme importance for each soul. Yet the major focus of this blog post is to examine three ways in which each soul is immensely valuable to God in His ongoing divine plan of redemption.
Lower than Angel
The writer of Psalms 8:3-6 lays out this wonderful image and theological truth about God’s divine design concerning the importance of each living soul.
When did I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is a man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him? You made him a little less than God and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him lord over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet.
The contrast of the unchanging structures of the heavens, as opposed to the corruption of the soul of humanity, reveals divine truth about just how frail, impotent, and mortal we are. Yet our Creator has given us opportunities to co-labor with Him on earth. In spite of our brokenness, our Creator continues to intervene in the affairs of fallen human history.
This reality perhaps is a great mystery to many, yet for those who are walking in “Truth,” His constant, loving, providential regard toward the soul and spiritual reformation have heavenly angels coveting His redemptive activities.
1 Peter 1:10-12
Concerning this salvation, the prophets…,v 12, This Gospel, is the announcement of good news to instruct humanity concerning the things that pertain to the spiritual rebirth and regeneration souls, by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Angels, God’s supernatural messengers, desire, covet to look intently into these things.
The Book of Hebrews 2:5-11 connects Jesus with fallen humanity by revealing that Jesus as the Son of Man, made Himself lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace He might taste death for everyone-crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering in death.
For the life-giving ministry of Jesus continues to bring divine quality by God’s unspoken splendor to souls, it was right that God for His sake, should make the author of our prosperity, deliverance, preservation complete through Jesus’ affliction. For the One who is set apart as holy, and those who are now sanctified, all have one Heavenly Father. Amen!
Key observation: human beings while on earth can never be greater than angels. While we are created lower, it is only after our glorification into the eternal Kingdom of God, Scripture reveals that we in Christ will judge the angels during Christ’s reign as King on Earth. Zechariah 14:9-21
Disciples of Christ were taught that the greatest in the Kingdom of God is the one who serves others. Matthew 20:24-28
We are Heavenly Creatures
In God’s initial created order on earth, man/woman is the highest form of God’s creation of animals and creatures living on earth. God’s throne is not on this earth according to Psalms 115:16, The heavens are the heavens of the Lord; but the earth He has given to the Sons of men, [humanity].
The Lord is in His Holy Temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids try, the children of men. His Kingdom rules overall. Thus saith the Lord, the heavens is my throne, and the earth is My footstool: Where is the house that ye build unto Me?
And where is the place of My rest…, But I say unto you swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: nor by the earth, for it is the city of the great King. Isaiah 66.
Soul value and sanctification are essential in that we are reconstituted to walk in truth in this fallen world while at the fulfillment of future end-times prophecies, we are heavenly creatures. At our appointed time, leaving earth brings us into paradise and the eternal heaven wherein our Holy Father dwells.
For we know that if our temporary earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands. 2 Corinthians 5:1
Soul Regeneration is Manifested through His Living Word
The Gospel of God is the spiritual ordained heavenly prophetic witness into the sinful condition of the heart of humanity. The radiance of all of God’s glory, nature, and eternal covenants are supernaturally revealed to any soul who encounters God with reverence.
Romans 3:10-18 advises that “there is no fear of God before their eyes, whereas Proverbs 9:10 contends that by “fearing God, such an action will become the beginning of wisdom.
The life-giving power of the combination of the Holy Spirit revealing to the heart, plus the Word of God will reveal the horror of our lostness within our souls. It also will shine the painful light into the darkness of our hearts, as desperately sick and very deceitful.
Greater shame will manifest when the Light is shined upon our consciences that we are guilty of self-worship more than honoring and worshipping God.
Our earlier formation outside of the love and ministry of Christ within our hearts convicts us as living in an alternative reality that is empowered by denial/rationalization in our failed efforts in justifying while hiding sin and the need of God in our lives.
The value of each soul is so important to God that there is not anything in God’s created order but His divine wisdom that permanently reconnects us back to the Creator. 1 Corinthians 1:21-25
For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
Closing Sentiments
I pray that all is well with you and that you are as healthy in your body as you are strong in spirit. We are not to be deceived even those who are “Walking in Truth.” The Holy Scriptures warn us that there will be some difficult times in these last days.
As Christ paid the ultimate price toward redeeming us back to God, we too will be persecuted for Christ’s sake. Nevertheless, Scripture reminds us to continue in what we have learned and firmly believed. The Holy Scriptures can give us wisdom for salvation through Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is due to the inspiration of God and is beneficial for instruction, persuasion, reformation, discipline, divine righteousness, so that every priceless soul of God may be ready for every good task. Grace and Peace
