Revelation 19:1-5 is a passage that contains a vision of heavenly worship. Within these verses, I have boldly highlighted six major words that I will communicate to those faithful followers of Messiah several spiritual lessons that encourage and provide hope.

Much Grace and Peace
Revelation 19:1-5 (NIV):
After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting,
“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”
And again they shouted:
“Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.“
The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:
“Amen, Hallelujah!”
And a voice came from the throne, saying,
Give praise to our God all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.
Hallelujah
Hallelujah is a Hebrew word that means “Praise the Lord” and is commonly found in the Old Covenant, particularly in the Book of Psalms. Yet, within the New Covenant, the only time Hallelujah is mentioned is in Revelation 19:1-5.
Hallelujah is a powerful and joyful word that is associated with worship, thanksgiving, and the recognition of the divine majesty and goodness of our Creator. This very word essentially invites the people of God to express their holy reverence and awe toward God, while praising and giving thanks to God our Heavenly Father.
Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. Psalm 111:1
Salvation
How blessed is the word salvation for it is the sum benefit and blessings which the Body of Christ is bestowed with now and at the end of this age. What a magnificant time that will be at the visible return of Christ from the heavens in the consummation and eternal Kingdom of God.
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13
Glory
Glory expresses honor, renown, the divine quality and the unspoken manifestation of God and all of His splendor as the supreme ruler over all of His creation and His people.
The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles.
The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. Psalm 97:1-6
Power
Power is God’s ability which is essential and needed in every scene of the divine life of the sanctification process leading toward the fulfillment of our future glorification. As clearly stated in the text, this power belongs only to our God, the Great I Am.
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11
Praise
In the context of the verse, the willful and total submission of a slave, or bond-servant to God is not only in the honorinig of Him, but the very essence in which God has created those who are small and great. The praise and worship of God is the central role of our worship in our spiritual lives, to acknowledge God’s greatness.
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Psalm 63:3-4
Fear
God desires a personal and loving relationship with human beings. When faithful followers reverence God, it signifies their acknowledgment of His presence, authority, and importance in their lives. This fear of the Lord will foster a deeper sense of connection and communication between humans and the divine.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Psalm 91:1-2
Summary
This very brief study of Revelation 19:1-5, disclosed some major themes of divine praise, worship, righteousness, justice, and the ultimate victory of God over evil forces.
What a powerful scene of heavenly celebration in response to God’s righteous judgments and the defeat of those who oppose Him.
It is my personal prayer that these spiritual messages will inspire and increase your faith, trust, and devotion to God during these most difficult and challenging times.
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.’ Numbers 6:22–27
Grace and Peace
