Psalm 95:1-7 CJB
Come, let’s sing to Adonai! [Lord]
Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation!
Let’s come into His presence with thanksgiving; let’s shout for joy to Him with songs of praise.
For Adonai is a great God, a great king greater than all gods.
He holds the depths of the earth in His hands; the mountain peaks too belong to Him.
The sea is His-He made it- and His hands shaped the dry land.
Come, let’s bow down and worship; let’s kneel before Adonai who made us.
For He is our God, and we are the people in His pasture, the sheep in His care.
Personal Observations of Psalm 95:1-7
Spiritual Faith is Our Witness
There is an innate call within each living soul to call out toward God throughout our lives. With every passing day, there is an ongoing invitation from the invisible God, compelling us to approach Him based on His terms. His beloved Son communicates to His faithful followers that each is to worship God in spirit and truth. John 4:23
Those who are without faith can not please Him because they do not believe that He is and in their disbelief, God does not exist. The Letter of Hebrews 11:6 reminds both believers and those who are not enlightened that those who come before God must believe that He is and that He rewards those who seek after Him.
The prophet Jeremiah encourages those who will seek God and find Him it is only because you search for Me with all of your heart. Jeremiah 29:13. To “search with all your heart” involves genuine devotion, earnestness, and a sincere desire to know and connect with God on the deepest level. It’s about prioritizing an intimate relationship with God above all else.
With increased spiritual faith in God, we become effective witnesses in all that we are called and commissioned to do. We do so because of His eternal greatness and sovereignty over His creation and us His creatures.
Contrite Heart and the Spirit of Humility
Deep within the innermost being of the faithful ones who sincerely show reverence to God are bestowed a contrite heart and the virtue of humility. The outer results or public witness of Children of God with a contrite heart and a spirit of humility will honor and serve God and others in the following ways:
By living lives marked by repentance, compassion, selflessness, justice, and servant leadership as faithful disciples of the Messiah. Such actions reflect the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, who demonstrated the ultimate humility through His life, death, and resurrection.
In our reflection on God’s mighty deeds and the beauty of His created order, it is impossible not to express well-deserved thankfulness when He tends to our every need, provision, and spiritual formation. The faithful ones must remain persistent before our heavenly Father so that our hearts will never be hardened by what the fallen world offers.
At no time within this space and time can any of those who are faithful afford complacency, unbelief, or willful disobedience toward God. Our God is very constant in His dealing with His people of old, at present, and in the future. He is above all other gods and is the Faithful One throughout all eternity. Thus in every life situation, we are equipped to find peace, confidence, and ultimate trust in His promises.

Created to Worship Him
“We become like that which we worship. When we worship God, we become more like Him.” – A.W. Tozer
Tozer’s statement highlights the principle of spiritual transformation through worship for those who are faithful. In a life that is disciplined in focusing our worship on God, we align ourselves with His character and purposes, and we are gradually transformed to resemble Him more closely.
This spiritual transformation occurs as we grow deeper in intimacy with God, develop a greater understanding of His nature, and allow His Spirit to work within us to conform us to the image of Christ. Thus, the act of worship becomes not only an expression of devotion but also a means of personal growth and sanctification.
Being created by God to worship Him, what other posture is required for His people on earth as it is in the Heavens but to bow down before the Holy One for all eternity? When we bow we willfully express reverence and honor to God through physical gestures of humility and submission. “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” Psalm 95:6
