Preface
During my morning prayers, I was so moved by the reading of Psalms 85:8-13 this week. My heart was delighted and so hopeful that our Heavenly Father, in His perfect timing, will powerfully intervene on behalf of His people based upon the eternal promises that He has made to Himself.
Today’s blog post is my interpretation and practical application of Psalms 85:8-13. I pray that your heart likewise will be touched! I am using David Stern Complete Jewish Bible translation. Grace and Peace
I am listening, What will God Adonai say? For He will speak peace, completeness, and soundness to His people, to His godly ones, but only if they don’t return into stupidity and folly!
His deliverance; rescue and safety are near for those who are morally reverent toward Him, so that abundance and honor will be in the earth.
Goodness, kindness, and faithfulness have encountered each other; rightness and completeness have been fastened together.
Faithfulness springs up from the land and justice overhang from the heavens.
Adonai will also grant what is pleasant and good; and our Lord will bestow its harvest!
Justice will come before Him and make our journey His footsteps!
Psalms 85:8-13
Words of inspiration and encouragement
Beloved of God, how wealthy are those who hear the Word of God and govern their lives accordingly. It is all so impossible to meditate upon the mercy of God without being convicted by the Holy Spirit of our sins, as well as the sins of others, and the sins of our Nation.
I thank God that His living Word along with the ministry of the Holy Spirit urges us toward genuine penitence each moment of our lives. We are mindful of the destructive nature of sin in our need in maintaining a healthy relationship with our Lord.
Nevertheless, despite all the tokens of God’s mercy, sin still has a stronghold within our lives and the world. Yet, the good news is that God’s mercy is superior to the power of sin!
The strength or weakness of our Nation is derived from the dwelling of God’s glory that is bestowed upon it. The shalom of God upon His people is fulfilled by the willful surrender of the people to His eternal Truth [the Holy Scriptures]. Only then can our Creator’s righteousness become a reality throughout our land.
All of humanity, believers and non-believers will plea to God to be spared from His anger and the dreaded consequences of sins within our lives. Yet, His daily deliverance is experienced by only those who revere Him.
God is faithful to all of His promises, oaths, and covenants. He will bless the land and His people in due season if it is to yield its fruits. The very finest harvest of fruits is those believers who practice heavenly righteousness before this present and evil generation. This is very pleasing to God and the results of His Kingdom working in the present age.
Let thy will be done on the Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen
