God Divine Countenance
For the eyes of Adonai [Lord] drifts at the entire length of the earth to display Himself substantial for those whose hearts are unconditionally His. 2 Chronicles 16:9
The Lord’s sight guards over those who are in awe of Him, over those who rest in His grace preserving them from death and managing them alive in misery. Psalm 33:18
The Lord’s vision looks after the virtuous, and His ears are accessible to their lament. But the countenance of Adonai defies those who do evil, to terminate all memory of them from the earth. Psalms 34:15
The eyes of Adonai are here and there, observant of evil and good. Proverb 15:3
For Adonai retains His eyes on the spiritual, and His ears are open to their prayer, but the light of Adonai is in opposition to those who do evil things. 1 Peter 3:12
Some observations related to the Eyes of God
- God’s eyes are forever discerning those who are righteous and those who are evil.
- The focus of His sight is within the heart, measuring the motive and intentions of every living soul.
- Humans who discover God and willingly submit to Him respond through obedience while possessing a character of humility.
- God’s seeking and searching of the earth is a powerful display of His absolute love toward those who are lost.
- His tenderness for those who are redeemed is revealed in His providential care and spiritual maturity is given to those who are now His possession.
The Darkness of this Age
Warning:
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8
Christ is according to the apostle Paul, the “wisdom of God!” And as the personification of God’s wisdom on earth, Jesus suffered and died on the Cross, was buried, and resurrected from the grave. Paul would report that such divine wisdom of God is hidden yet ordained before the ages. [1 Cor. 1:24; 2:2; 1; 2:7]
The irony is this very “Cross” is a stumbling block to the multitude. In this age, post-resurrection, those who have not authentically encountered and surrendered to the love and mercy of God, are lost and thus seeking, while in darkness after signs and earthen wisdom. [1 Cor. 1:23]
This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be“?
At present, the answer to this question of a resting place of God is within our hearts. A transformed heart that the Holy Spirit shapes and the Living Savior will esteem: a heart that is humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at My word. [Isaiah 66:1-2]
Hearing From Heaven
If my people who are appointed by My Name, shall humble themselves, pray and pursue My Face, and depart from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Prayer
Bless us, Heavenly Father, one and all, with the light of Your face. For by the light of Your face you have given us, Lord our God, the Tree of Life in Your Holy Word. Through it applied to our souls, we are partakers of life and love of kindness, charity, blessing, mercy, and peace.
Your eyes search after while graciously bestowing knowledge upon man and teaching mortals, and spiritual understanding. Please continue to bestow upon us from You, Kingdom wisdom, understanding, and knowledge during our time of sanctification.
We trust and continue to draw nearer to Your presence in this age. Please hear our voice, Lord God, and grant us compassion while accepting our prayers in mercy and favor, for You are God who hears our prayers and supplications. Amen
